There are good reasons for choosing wood: the renewable material from responsible, regional forestry stores carbon, can be produced and processed using less energy than other building materials and is considered key to the circular economy in the construction industry thanks to its recyclability. However, the decisive factor for a positive carbon footprint is the longest possible service life, to which high-quality coatings contribute. However, ADLER, Austria's leading paint manufacturer, is convinced that these must also meet the highest ecological standards. This is why the pioneer in sustainable coating solutions has launched the "Terra" line: Products with a high proportion of renewable and natural raw materials, free from chemical wood preservatives, solvents, plasticizers and formaldehyde. The latest development, Lignovit Terra-Color for environmentally friendly surface design and finishing in timber construction, now completes the range.
Glazing and opaque
With Lignovit Terra-Lasur finish, responsible builders already had a water-based wood oil at their disposal that could be used to implement color design wishes for wooden houses, facades, cladding, wall and ceiling elements in an ecological way - and in a wide variety of glaze finish shades. But in modern timber construction, opaque color surfaces are also increasingly in demaGlaze finishnd. This is why ADLER has developed Lignovit Terra-Color: The wood finish, which also has an oily character, impresses with its high covering power and ensures stylish, durable, weather-resistant surfaces. Although it forms a continuous layer of color, the coating is open to diffusion and therefore moisture-regulating - perfect for the longest possible Durability! Lignovit Terra-Color couldn't be easier to work with: regardless of the color, even with white or pastel shades, two coats of the product are enough for a perfect surface. Users can choose from a wide range of application methods.
Indoors and outdoors
But coating the exterior is not enough: like its glaze finish counterpart, Lignovit Terra-Color does not contain any chemical wood preservatives and can therefore also be used indoors without hesitation. Here, the naturally saliva- and perspiration-proof wood finish also scores points with its particularly velvety feel and pleasant touch. The breathable surface contributes to a healthy indoor climate. So whether it needs to be opaque or glazed, inside or outside - with Lignovit Terra from ADLER, timber construction projects can be designed in color with a clear conscience.
