Special additive solution to prevent stain formation caused by tiny metal contaminants from wood processing (e.g. blades from veneer cutting, sanding with steel wool) of veneers and solid wood when using hardwoods that have a high tannin content, such as oak and ash. Contamination with metal filings becomes recognisable when the wood is rinsed with water or a stain is tested out on the original wood. The product does not have any affect on the colour of the stain.
